I had to choose a sculptor for my art work and I finally chose you. This was because your amazing, imaginative work gives me so many wonderful ideas. I think it’s the greatest type of art work (especially if you like english) as you can look deeply into a book while being artistic at the same time. Can I just ask, what features of a book helps you discover a potentially brilliant design?? :)

Delighted that my publisher found your spectacular work to use as a cover image for my book, just out this month, Architecture of the Novel: A Writer’s Handbook. The image is a detail from The Lake and the Boat. I’m looking at the printed cover just now’ I’d never realized you could read the word “birds” on the bird and the word “smoke” on the fire. I’ve joined your mailing list and hope to hear about where we might see your work in perso.

I love your book-cut sculpture ‘The Quiet American’. I am doing a critical study on the work and I am also going to be re-creating this piece for my GCSE Art coursework.

I was wondering if you can tell me, how do you make the paper to stand firm and not flimsy?

    thanks! :)
