All of my works are predominantly cut by hand, using a scalpel. So, when I was asked to take part in a research project ‘to explore the use of laser-cutters’, I was curious.
I was invited by Tom Sowden, research fellow at UWE in Bristol to work with him to explore the creative potential of the laser-cutter, and to determine whether the laser ‘as a tool’, has possibilities that ‘an artist such as myself’ could accommodate.
This research will culminate in a Symposium in September, where I’ll be talking about my experiences.

This is an interesting use for laser cutting, be interested to see the outcome of the work. See some interesting results I bet.
